Web Site Traffic Summary - May 2007
ADVERTISEMENTSAfter I revealed this blog’s traffic summary of April 2007, I got a few requests to do this on a monthly basis. So I thought of doing it this time too, and I revealed my AdSense earning this time since many people keep asking me.
On May 2007, this blog had 159,304 unique visitors and 252,305 pageviews according to Google Analytics.
What about this blog’s earnings? Through my highest earner, AdSense, I earned $1,218.75. Close to what John Chow earned through AdSense - $1,246.50
The other ad programs that did well for me last month were TribalFusion and Kontera. Vizu Answers did not get me much polls last month so earnings from it was lower than usual. Also AuctionAds got me an unexpected $15, which I ran only for a few days to see how it works.

Congratulations John! Must be a good feeling to login into Google Analytics. But I notice that you are using the older interface of Analytics ?
Also I had a suggestion to make. It would be nice if you could maybe come up with something like ‘ The Deck‘. Certainly would be nice for the Indian blogging community.
Anyways congratulations again and keep up the good work.

Cool John…always keeps bloggers going when they see what kind of money you’re making. You really don’t have a whole lot of Adsense, so I’d say you’re doing pretty well with what you have.

Horisly - were those figures for your car blog? If so, damn nice figures!

Interesting figures, particularly the fact that you’re getting so many uniques but not seeing that reflected in RSS subscriptions. 1450 subscribers is great, of course, but I wonder why more of those visitors are not hitting the big orange button. It’s a perennial problem on my sites too.

I have noticed that Google Analytics underreports stats a bit. So your actual number of hits is probably slightly higher. If you have a decent host use something like Firestats to just get the no. of hits accurately.

I’m not a big fan of Kontera. Placing ads within content is simply too intrusive and breaks the editorial advertising barrier.

As stated above, you’d figure with that many monthly visitors, your RSS subscriber number would be higher. Go figure?

Didn’t I say that earlier Don? It’s true though. Sciencebase gets fewer visitors than cited here but hovers around the 2500 subscribers mark. Maybe that’s it…all those readers who never come back to the site because they get the full-text in their aggregator or Google Reader…

Wow, I didn’t know anyone was actually making money off of AdSense! In the seven months I’ve had my site up, I’ve only earned $15 in AdSense credit.
Apparently, I’m doing something wrong!

I have been using the statistics of my blog traffic, to pitch to banner advertisers.
It has been successful for me to find clients interested in putting banner son my blog for a fixed cost.
very important here are the statistics, I have been using GoStats.com , they have been good. It seems to have good credibility in the professional market as my clients did not want any clarifications on validity of the statisrics once they were told it was by GoStats.

Ah! You earned $1200+ from AdSense. That’s great. Wish I had at least my total income like that. Im blogging for the past one month and just earned $40. Seems too low when compared with what you have earned.

Hi John,
First of all thank you for sharing the earning with us all. Its really good to know that you are growing at a good pace.I came down to this page using the link provided in the review about your N73 Music edition. It was interesting to read because I bought one 2 weeks back. As you said the camera is good except for when taken in low lights….
Hey pal congrats once again and keep going.
