How To Place YouTube Videos on WordPress Blogs

Placing videos from YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, etc on a blog post can be hard at times. I have been asked a few times on how to add YouTube Videos on WordPress Blogs by some readers, so I would like to mention some WordPress plugins that will make it easier for you to add videos to your blog post.

Viper’s Video Quicktags is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to easily insert videos from YouTube, , IFILM, Metacafe, and by just clicking one of the buttons that the plugin adds to the write screen and then paste the video URL into the prompt box. You can also fully configure how the videos are displayed (width, height, alignment on the page) and much more.

Make Money Online With AuctionAds

AuctionAdsAuctionAds is a Cost Per Action (CPA) based ad program that allows you to monetize your website by displaying live eBay auctions that match the content of your website and you make money online when your visitor buys products they are interested in. The great part about AuctionAds is that it can be run along with other ad programs like Adsense.

Like Chitika eMiniMalls, AuctionAds works best on product related sites. So you won’t be earning much by placing AuctionAds on non-product sites, also remember that you won’t make money unless your visitor buys the product.

To make more money with AuctionAds you can try blending the ads by changing its colors to match your site’s colors and using the right keywords that match your site. AuctionAds has also explained on how to specify the keywords.

Power of Photoshop

The below video shows a fat woman being made thin and good looking using Photoshop. I never doubted the power of Photoshop ;)

This is why you should never trust the profile images you find in online dating sites :P

Sorry for the lack of updates these days, I have been working on a project.

More WordPress Plugins To Increase Comments On Your Blog

Few days back I had mentioned the Top 5 WordPress plugins that help increase comments on a blog. Here are some more plugins that can help.

  • WP Ajax Edit Comments: This plugin (for WP 2.1+) allows users and admins alike to edit comments on a post. Users can edit their own comments for a period specified by the Admin, and Admins can edit all post comments. This plugin can help reduce typos on reader comments and at same time encourage more comments from them.
  • Get Recent Comments: This highly configurable plugin displays the most recent comments in the sidebar. You can make the plugin to link the recent commenter’s site along with an excerpt of their comment. Linking to the commenter’s site can encourage them to comment even more.
  • Live Comment Preview: This plugin will display a live preview of your readers comments as they type. To install the plugin, just activate it!
  • Comment Quicktags: This plugin inserts a quicktag toolbar on the blog comment form that will help your commenter’s to easily make thier comment in bold or italics, or to insert links.
  • MyAvatars: This plugin displays the reader’s MyBlogLog avatars besides their comments. This may not help in increasing comments much, but readers may like seeing their avatars on your blog ;)

Do you know any more plugins that can help increase comments?

Watch Spider-Man 3 Online

Spider-Man fans who were not able to watch the awesome Spider-Man 3 movie so far can watch it online from here for free. If you have a low speed internet connection, you can press the pause button and wait till the whole movie part downloads so that you can watch it smoothly.

The video is not of good quality and to really enjoy the movie I recommend you watch it from a theater, besides it’s worth paying to watch this movie!

Guide For New Bloggers To Make Money Online

Recently I wrote on how bloggers make money online where I listed out the commonly used ad programs to help bloggers realize that they have to add more revenue sources to make more money online.

But if you are running a new blog, you should not slap your blog with ads from all these ad programs. Before monetizing a new blog, you must first focus on feeding your blog with quality content and on increasing your blog’s traffic.

When your blog reaches around 500 unique traffic per day, you can start monetizing it with either Google AdSense or Chitika eMiniMalls if you have a product related blog.
