How To Target eMiniMalls and TTZ Media To A WordPress Search

ADVERTISEMENTS

If you own a product related blog and isn’t satisfied with AdSense for Search, you could try to monetize your search result pages with Chitika eMiniMalls, TTZ Media or ShoppingAds (previously known as AuctionAds) and target them to the search query made on your WordPress blog. Here is how you do it:

For Chitika eMiniMalls

1. sign in to your Chitika account, click the eMiniMalls tab, and generate your eMiniMalls code

2. open your theme’s search file (mostly search.php) and find the following line

Search Results

3. paste your eMiniMalls code underneath the line

4. change the following lines in your eMiniMalls code

var ch_queries = new Array( );
var ch_selected=Math.floor((Math.random()*ch_queries.length));
if ( ch_selected < ch_queries.length ) {
ch_query = ch_queries[ch_selected];
}

to this

var ch_queries = new Array("");

Your search results will now have an eMiniMall targeted to the search query at the top of the page.

For TTZ Media

Generate your TTZ Media code and paste it where you want it on your theme’s search file.

Now just change the following line

var keyword= "digital camera, gps, ipod, mp3 players, plasma tv, camcorders, dvd players";

to this

var keyword= "";

For ShoppingAds

Generate your ShoppingAds code and paste it where you want it on your theme’s search file.

Now just change the following line

shoppingads_ad_kw = "most popular";

to this

shoppingads_ad_kw = "";

See it in action

You can see how I have targeted eMiniMalls and TTZ Media on my hardware review blog. Just do a search for something. Example - ‘ipod’

    John, where are you ? Your site was down for about 3-4 days (not completely, only your header was loading) and your last post is from 26 January. I hope you’re OK.

    If you’re already a ShoppingAds user, or considering becoming one, you should check out emptyspaceads - turn your website’s empty space into cash (a product I left my full-time job at Microsoft to build), which allows you to put ShoppingAds units in your website’s empty space. After all, when was the last time you made any money from your site’s empty space? Better yet, you don’t have to give up any existing ad units to run emptyspaceads. Keep what works!

    We hope to add more ad networks soon! You can also create your own TextAds, ImageAds, and even HTMLAds. I invite you to try it out and send your honestly brutal feedback. Thanks!

    Excelent tip/trick.

    I added to my website TTZ Media, it’s working perfectly, and you can also ad to the search the ttz media widget if it doesen’t find any related post :idea:

    Have something to say?
