Ades just let me know about his newly launched site, UserInterfaceIcons, that is dedicated to providing high quality free icons to software and web application developers. You are also welcome to use them on your websites and blogs.

The icons are available in different sizes and are in the PNG format with transparent background.

    Free Icons are nice, don’t get me wrong - but doesn’t anyone think those are a bit lurid? And unoriginal?

    Sure, there’s gotta be a reason for the blue and yellow colour scheme… it’s just a bit too over-the-top to be suitable for most things.

    Personally, I don’t like them at all. Not sure where I could possibly use them, to be honest. But, then they might fit perfectly for an upbeat B2B site or corporate intranet hoping to look a bit web 2.0
