How Is BlogRush Doing For You?
ADVERTISEMENTSBlogRush has updated the dashboard and gave members statistics on how things are performing. I checked out mine and was really disappointed at the click through rate.
Though I have referred some bloggers and get around 14,000 pageviews a day on this blog, all I have got is 20 clicks!
But I am not the only person who has faced this problem, Darren got only 35 clicks even though his headlines had been shown around 70,000 times!
If you have checked your BlogRush dashboard recently, then you might have noticed this message being shown:
Click-through rates are very low right now due to problems with some users cheating the system. We are a few days away from removing all abuse from the system and you will see your click-rates increase. We are also moving to a Manual Review Process for all member blogs which will also increase the traffic you receive. Thank you for your patience — we’re working hard to improve this beta version of our service.
It looks like BlogRush is being improved as I write this and and soon we may get better click through rates. So until then you can try to get as much bloggers as possible to signup using your referral link
The low click through rates can also be because of your blog post titles and also if members put the widget way below on their sidebars.
I have also seen some unrelated headlines showing up on this and other blogs, it would be cool if BlogRush added more categories so that the headlines on the widget are more relevant to the content on blogs.
But I am sure the BlogRush team is hard at work in improving their new service as I got an email from them an hour ago informing me that they added several new color variations of the widget so that BlogRush members can choose a color that more closely matches their blog’s design.

It would be doing a whole lot better I think if they just provided the link to the site instead of a full fledged widget. The CTR for just about everyone is low. I think it gets passed over too easily. On top of that, its at the bottom of the side bar for most people.

I must say it crossed my mind when I first saw it that you could just load your blog up on screenblaze or something that gives it a million views that nobody ever sees. Didn’t do it of course .. but I guess some people did. Good news today that they are going to review all the blogs in the system manually. - Malc Davies

I’m giving it another month and even after that it doesn’t result in at least 1% CTR, out it goes from my sidebar.

So far, I’ve got 2 clicks . However, I’m going to keep it for a while, because anyway I’m redesigning my site, so if until the day of my new theme launch, the click rate is not improved, I’ll drop it.

I’ve received 15 click from 16,432 impressions. Not good at all. Hopefully they will find some way to improve the system.

I too have got 2 clickthroughs…I have it on my blog but I don’t expect much from it….is just having it there so that readers can click thro. some interesting headlines and hopefully read good articles…other than that i don’t expect it to give traffic.Nothing more than a good hype from a good marketer.

Well I got banned from it LOL I don’t think they banned my blog but not sure.
I think I know why though Hahaha
The statistic wasn’t great anyway, over 5000 imression and only 30 clicks.

I am giving it one to two months myself. Results are disappointing thus far. I am getting the feeling that it might drop of my sidebar after a while.

I find that Blogrush is working fine for me on one of my blogs and so-so on the others. It accounts for about one third of visits to my personal blog and just a handful of visits to my gardening blog and my blogging blog. The difference there is that the ‘personal diary’ category fits my personal blog perfectly whereas the ‘home & garden’ and ‘computers & internet’ categories are too broad. I think things will improve once they do some adjusting on the categories.
Also the statistics on the blogrush dashboard aren’t very reliable. According to them I have received no clickthroughs but I can see a different story from my own site statistics.

Not that my blog is that popular yet because I just started blogging this month but I haven’t gotten any clicks either. I heard that Cliq is actually better than Blogrush. Can anyone confirm this?
