How To Change The Time Settings In Windows Vista
ADVERTISEMENTSThose of you who use Windows Vista may have noticed that the clock in your system tray displays time in the 24 hour format by default. If you prefer 12 hour format and is confused on how to do it, follow these steps:
- Click the Start button
- Click the Control Panel and then double-click Regional and Language Options if you are using Control Panel in Classic View OR click Clock, Language, and Region and then click Regional and Language Options
- Click Customize this format
- On the Time tab, Change Time format to hh:mm:ss tt
Note: Change Time format to HH:mm:ss to switch back to 24-hour clock format.
This may sound simple, but believe me I never found the option to switch to 12 hour format until I googled and found this page.

Nuts & Milk- Double clicking the clock will give you option to change time and all only. I have not found the option to switch to 12 hour format there.

Hi, I find it funny how your blog changes to random topics sometimes. The cow fight was cheesy but funny. Keep up the good work.I’ve been following other blogs to learn how to build my new blog.

John probably didn’t want people ot know that there’s no comments anymore so he can continue to milk the site because of the subscriber count and PR. It’s not really that we don’t want to comment john, it’s that you don’t write articles anymore!

Thanks for this.
For people who haven’t used vista yet, apparently setting to the AMPM format is not in the popup that appears when you double click the time on the lowerright portion. some stupid designer/architect hid it into the regional settings which this article described how to.
it’s like when you want to change the coldness temperature of your refrigerator, you have to go to your garage to set it, it is hidden so you can’t accidentally change it, duh, how smart.
