Restore Deleted Files Easily With Handy Recovery

ADVERTISEMENTS

Handy RecoveryHave you ever deleted a file accidentally and then realized it to be an important one? You do not have to worry about deleted files again if you use Handy Recovery, which is an easy-to-use data recovery software designed to restore files accidentally deleted from your PC. The program can also recover files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software faults and even files from deleted and formatted partitions.

It can also recover files moved to Recycle Bin after it has been emptied and if some program does not use Recycle Bin when deleting files, Handy Recovery can restore such files too.

Handy Recovery supports all Windows file systems for hard and floppy drives. It can also recover compressed and encrypted files on NTFS drives.

Features

The key features of Handy Recovery software include

  • FAT12/16/32, NTFS and NTFS 5 + EFS file systems support
  • In-depth disk scanning for certain file types
  • Option to create disk images for deferred recovery
  • Shows probability of successful recovery for each file
  • Recovers files from deleted and formatted partitions
  • File filtering by name, mask, date and size
  • Recovers files deleted without Recycle Bin
  • Restores the structure of deleted folders
  • Explorer-style disk content browser showing deleted files
  • One-click filter button to show only the deleted files

Handy Recovery works on many Windows versions like 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 and even Vista operating system.

The bad part is that Handy Recovery is not freeware. It is priced at $39 for a single user license. You can download a 30-day trial version from here. Please note that the evaluation version can recover only 1 file per day.

If you prefer freewares you can try the FreeUndelete Recovery Software which I wrote about last year.

$39 is considered expensive if compare with those freewares that can provide the almost same service.

I was just reading the headlines your blog, and a light bulb flashed in my head to upgrade to WP 2.2. After I’ve upgraded, my layout looked different, and I wanted to “go back”, but I didn’t save backup. So I had to reconstruct the layout… if only I’d finished reading this post…!

Oh yes– I’d still buy the software… maybe with a bigger company though.

39$ is pretty costly for this software considering the fact that there are lots of free wares also available. Furthur huge costs are also the major reasons for piracy. :-)

I would rather use the freewares than this software. I agree with the other guys regarding the price of this software. For this review did you get the trial version or full version for testing?

Mostly these recovery softwares are quite costly . One software which worked efficiently for me was “Get data back ” .

Does this application retrieve deleted files from compact flash cards or any other external device. I am pretty sure ZAR http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ does, although the full file version is pricier there is a photo recovery tool that is free.

John - did you test how much memory or systems resources it took to run this? One of the reasons I refuse to run Norton or McAfee Suites is the amount of resources they hog on your machine…

Have something to say?
