Chitika Linx - In Text Advertising

ADVERTISEMENTS

Chitika Linx is an In-Text Advertising solution, similar to Kontera’s ContentLink and Intellitxt, that is currently in beta and being offered only to selected publishers on an invitation basis.

Chitika | Linx will automatically identify key products/keywords mentioned in the content on a website or blog and hyperlink (double underline) those keywords to interactive paid (CPC-based) product listings featuring best deals, offers and promotions from name brand merchants. When users mouse-over these links, a small bubble-like scroll over is revealed listing offers from merchants.

Chitika Linx

Publishers who own product based sites or blogs may find Chitika Linx useful, but do keep in mind that this type of advertising can be annoying for some of your site’s visitors. I have been using Kontera’s ContentLink for some time now and it has been performing quite well.

We will have to wait until this is available to all of us and test it it is better than Kontera.

The thing is that Kontera is using all kind of keywords for their ads and Linx is using only product based ads and this will not perform well for all bloggers.

I certainly wouldnt be using this even if it was open to all simply because selling 200$ products is certainly no way to get any profits for your blog unless your blog readers are composted of high class clientele..

i have a question, as your site focus on online money making, it’s no problem put all those money making program on your site.
however, is it right to put so many ads program on other topic sites, such as autos? will people revolt it?

I share John’s observation on the fact Chitika’s ads can be a bit annoying. Still, if anyone manages to be invited, i would be interested to hear about Chitika’s performance, as (like John indicated) it can work quite good with niche product based websites.

Chitika is definitely a good option when considering In text ads but you guys should also consider shopping with Kontera, VibrantMedia, EchoTopic and Amazon Context Links. They all seem to be running smooth as well. I recommend reviewing each one of them and than choosing one to go with.

Have something to say?
