WordPress BankRoll Plugin - Sell Reviews From Your Blog
ADVERTISEMENTSServices like ReviewMe and PayPerPost helps you find advertisers that pays you to review services and web sites, but the problem of using such services is that they take a cut. With the help of WordPress BankRoll Plugin, advertisers can buy reviews directly from your WordPress blog and thus you get all the money.
WP Bankroll is a wordpress plugin that will transform your current or new blog into a paid or free blogging site. You can use this to get free content from your readers, use to write paid reviews on websites, or just generally sell blog posts written by you or the sponsor.
Installation of the plugin is easy, you just have to upload the plugin folder, activate the plugin and insert one line of code into your sidebar. After installation, WordPress BankRoll Plugin puts up a ‘Buy A Blog Post’ link on your sidebar which advertisers can use to order a review from you. Clicking the link opens up a submission form where advertisers can choose who writes the post - you or them.
Advertisers can also select the category, title and tags (requires a tag plugin to work) for the post. They can also choose to feature the post on your sidebar for an additional fee.
After filling up all the post details, they will be asked to make the payment through PayPal. Once the payment has been made, the submitted post is marked as paid and you can write the post or publish it (if they have written the post).
The plugin’s Admin option page is where you should enter your PayPal ID and set how much you want to charge for a post, the minimum words needed and the maximum links allowed.
The option page also allows you to enable tags, set the number of featured posts to list, your disclosure phrase as well as posting guidelines for your advertiser. You can even choose to disallow paid posts in certain categories of your blog.
The plugin also offers a manage page where you can manage all the reviews you get through your blog and see which all advertisers have paid, if they asked to feature the post, cost of paid post, title, date and status (published/draft) of the post.

Wordpress BankRoll is available in three versions - Free version, Single License ($19.99) and Unlimited License ($49.99).
The free version includes all the features of the paid versions but it requires a link back to their site. With the free version you also get full support on their support forums and get free upgrades to the plugin when they are released.
The single license gives you the rights to use the plugin on only one site and the unlimited license gives you the rights to use the plugin on every site that you own. The two paid licenses do not require a linkback.
Plugin Features
- Powerful backend for integration with Paypal. Uses IPN to track payments.
- Offer blogger written posts, sponsor written posts, or allow free posts.
- Options to set max links per post, minimum word count, and cost.
- Ability to allow submission with Tags along with the post. Requires a Tag plugin to work.
- Allow featured posts. Featured posts cost extra and will receive a link to their post on the sidebar. Option to select how many to randomly display in your sidebar and an option to set the price.
- Admin option to set posting guidelines, a disclosure phrase at the end of each post, and the ability to select which of your blogs categories are open to submission.
- Extremely easy installation. Upload plugin folder, activate plugin, and insert one line of code into your sidebar.
WordPress BankRoll Plugin is a great plugin for Wordpress that can help you get all the money for doing a review, but it is hard for advertisers to find you unless your blog is very popular.

Does anyone know if the ReviewMe terms of service will allow us to sell our own reviews? I’m just wondering if we can do both or or it’s one or the other..

That’s awesome. That has been one of my problems with ReviewMe, they take half of the money I make! Of course I wouldn’t have any of that without them, so hopefully this will change that a little bit. I don’t know why advertisers don’t just visit the site and contact the blogger with a proposal to review anyway.
If it is going to cost them $80 through ReviewMe, the blogger only gets $40 of that, but the advertiser still pays $80. If they just went to the blogs site, they could offer maybe $60. The advertiser would save $20, and the blogger would make $20 more.

: ReviewMe is just one of the mediums you can use to sell reviews. You can sell your own, go through PayPerPost, SponsoredReviews, LinkPost, or others as well.
btw John, I think it’s kinda funny ReviewMe is paying you to say “don’t go through ReviewMe anymore, use this instead.”

This looks great, but isn’t it a hassle to manage multiple clients, I mean for bloggers who are working it could take a lot of time to manage clients.
In such cases reviewme and payperpost seem like a option even though they take a cut from earnings.

Buzz: I guess it just depends on if the extra work is worth the increased profits for you. It would be for me.

: It might be difficult only if you are getting 4-5 reviews per day. And you get time before accptence and after accptence..So gives you good amount of time to review.

This is a pretty useful plugin for those who would like to sell reviews directly. One important thing about plugins are they are not totally error free, but since this is a paid plugin, think it should not have any issues as it deals with money matters. Btw John, are you going to use this plugin?

This looks good . It also gives an advertiser an option to write the post . So this can really attract the advertisers .

Yeah, Mr. Chow brought this up a few weeks ago. It’s definately a great idea, but there will be more effort needed to convince prospective customers into paying out, even if it is cheaper.

It’s a good idea but if you think about it, RiviewMe and PayPerPost has the market of advertisers.

Another plugin I hadn’t heard of yet. I guess the success of using this plugin depends on the number of potential advertisers you have visiting your site. Definitely something I’m going to look into. Thanks for the info.
