Looking for information and found it at this great site

Just while I was thinking of a way to avoid this, Mark (from Weblog Tools Collection) came up with a plugin that adds the Akismet comment test to the PSXMail plugin. Inorder to use this plugin you have to have Akismet installed and activated as a plugin already with a valid Akismet Key.

Installation

Download the zip file, unzip, upload to your plugin directory and activate. Then create a new page and enter { mailform } (without spaces) where you want the form.

My Thoughts

It would be useful if the plugin allowed us to see separately the mails that were caught by Akismet and an option to de-spam mails that are not spam.

Nice, a plugin that adds more functionality to a plugin :D Oddly enough I don’t get spam via my contact form, only comment spam.

    John,

This is just what I need. I have been forced to change the URL to my contact forms because of spam. It usually takes a few weeks before I can’t stand it any longer, then I change the url… but with this plugin, it should really fix the spam?

I will download and install this right away!

Ashish- First of all, I am not that pleased with this plugin as I still get spam. I will let you know if I find a better plugin.

I activated Akismet but was told I needed the key which I could only get w/ a wordpress.com account. So, um, does that mean I can only use it if they’re hosting. Sorry for the potentially dumb question. Thanks.
