WordPress Plugin: AdSense Beautifier

ADVERTISEMENTS

AdSense Beautifier is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to make your Adsense Ads look beautiful by placing images besides them. Adding images adjacent to Ads can help increase click through rate (CTR).

Adsense Beautifier

You can do all what this plugin offers manually if you know basic HTML and CSS. But if you are too lazy, you can use this plugin which requires no HTML knowledge.

Note: If you are going to do manually, you must know that AdSense team always ask publishers to place a visible border between the ads and the images in order to avoid confusion and invalid clicks.

Installation

  • Download the plugin and unzip it to your PC
  • Upload the folder “adsenseBeautifier” and all of its contents into your wp-content/plugins/ directory
  • Activate the plugin in your WordPress Admin Panel
  • Go to Options page to generate AdSense code based on your original AdSense code
  • Copy and paste your new AdSense code to display your AdSense

This plugin can also be integrated with Adsense Deluxe plugin.

Wow, thanks John! I remember when you mentioned images in TechnoBytez and I was going to implement it but doing it manually just kind of sucks. This plugin makes it very easy, especially with the random images. Now I’m going to either have to find some new ones or make some new ones to use!

I was using it on my blog until i realized that it had no effect on my CTR. The Images aren’t as impressive as your old ones, So it doesn’t have much impact

Does this work with the free wordpress or only for those people who are hosting their wordpress blog on their own server? I didn’t think Wordpress allowed their bloggers to use ads?

Justin: As with any WordPress plugin, this works only if you are hosting WordPress on your own site.

I will analyse the clicks for some more time. If I don’t see any improvement, I will revert to my old images :)

“Adding images adjacent to Ads can help increase click through rate”, that is true because you are tricking your users to click and ad as they will associate the image next to it with the actual ad, whether there is a vertical line between them or not is irrelevant for most users.

From where I am looking it’s unethical do use this plug, and if I were an advertiser that would receive clicks from such ads I would surely try everything I can to get the publisher banned from Adsense.

Great plug in but I am having problems with it. The image panel is overlaped by the ads.
