What is Google upto?

ADVERTISEMENTS

This site has been ranked with PR 3 for a few months now. It has not had an increase in PageRank even after having about 98 sites linking to it now. My technology blog having only one site linking to it has PR 4!

Also today I found that my Dream Diary and WordPress Skin Library have PR 4 too.

The shocking part was when I found that my Dream Diary too had only one backlink and that according to RustyBrick it will have PR 5 after the next Google update!

Your current Google PageRank is 4. Based on our calculations, we predict your future PageRank after the next Google update will be 5, an increase of 33.33%.

So, what is Google really upto? My friend, Deep, says Google is trying to reduce the value of PageRank and is giving out PR randomly.

Also that Google does not calculate PR based on the number of incoming links anymore. The search giant seems to be looking out for sites based on natural work.

What do you think? Has Google changed the way they rank sites? Also are they updating Page Rank more frequently than before? Posting without keywords in the url seems natural to you?

LOL! Congrats man, there are some mysteries which nobody can solve, not even Google. ;)

Funny Chrono Tron has 150 links but still 4, last time it had 27 lInks and PR 4. And don’t trust Rustybrick, recent changes in Google are messing it up. Sometimes I wonder if Google is slowly changing everything to give imp to things other than Backlinks.

Yah, mine says that I’ll have a PR of 6 next update. The past few updates have seen only a fraction of a percentage increase, and this one’s almost 30%. I dunno what exactly’s going on, but I like it :)
